Empire State Building

About the Empire State Building

The Empire State Building (Nickname of New York state) is the most emblematic skyscraper in New York 443.2 m tall (1,454 feet), located at Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. This building, with an Art Deco style, was built in 1931 and stood as the world’s tallest building until the construction of the Twin Towers (World Trade Center) in 1970. After the September 11 attacks, the Empire State reverted to being the tallest building in the city until 2012. Currently, it is the seventh-tallest building in New York, the ninth-tallest in the USA, and the 54th-tallest in the world. The Empire State building is one of the favorite stops for visitors to delight in the amazing views of New York. It must be added that the Empire State is an international cultural icon, appearing in more than 250 movies and TV shows since the King Kong film was released in 1933.
